Welcome to the Urban Water Expert’s project homepage
The Urban Water Expert’s project (UWEX) main goal is the transfer of innovation technologies under the Tempus Public Foundation during the years of 2009 and 2011. The Consortium formed for the UWEX project consists of two top level educational institutions and one regional private company. The two educational institutions participating in the UWEX project are: the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME), the University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy (UACEG). Since the beginning of July 2000 DHI a.s. (DHI Ltd. enterprise) oficially belongs to the DHI Water & Environment Group. DHI’s headquarters are situated in Denmark, which is an independent, international consulting and research non-profit organization. The aim of the project is to train professors and students at the university level in both of the participating countries: Hungary and Bulgaria. The trainers are to obtain extensive training on the latest practices related to Hydroinformatics and Water Management planning. The acquire knowledge will be in term passed on to other staff and students in each corresponding University, the knowledge will also be shared with their local water utilities in order to expand their knowledge in water management in order to get applicable skills in the national and European labour market.
